I believe in finding your passion, whatever that might be, and pursuing it with all your heart. Life is too short not to take action. For me, I know I am skilled in logistics and passionate about the apparel supply chain so that is where I have decided to start building my career. I also know that some interests go beyond a career or ambition which is why I fight for anti-sex trafficking. I started learning about the fashion industry in college at The Ohio State University and later pursued a masters degree at Kent State University in fashion, primarily researching sustainability in the apparel supply chain. For the past three years, I have been working on my career in the supply chain, but I felt a calling to pursue work in anti-sex trafficking outside of my full-time career. My first year living in Texas, I was invited to a fashion show and was told that all the proceeds for the fashion show would go toward an organization that provides after-care for young girls rescued out of prostitution in the Philippines. I was immediately intrigued and bought my ticket to the fashion show. The rest, as they say, is history.
