The ElmCreek Worship Team exists to create an atmosphere for the congregation to worship God through music. We desire to lead the congregation into deeper worship, bringing God's people to His throne through musical excellence, creativity, and passion. Above all, we desire for God to be glorified through everything we do as a worship team Colossians ; 1 Corinthian Committed Attender of ElmCreek - The team member is to be a regular attender in worship and actively support the leadership and mission of the Elm Creek Community Church. S piritual Growth - The team member is to be a mature Christian, knowing that everyone involved in the worship ministry is seen by the congregation as a leader. Talents and Skills - Although we recognize the importance of a pure heart, the musician and vocalists also need to have enough musical skill because we want to be the best that we can be in order to appropriately honor and worship God. Family Support - It is important that our immediate family members are supportive and willing to accept the necessary time commitments for our Thursday evening r ehearsal and Sunday morning rehearsal which is mandatory. Able to Co-operate with the Team - Working and blending with others must be a major consideration. Probationary Period - New team members are required to join the worship team for three 3 rehearsals on Thursdays evening at pm before leading at a Sunday worship service in order to learn the style of music the team plays and, most importantly, build a relationship with the team members.

II. A Slow Evolution in My Own Thinking
I am writing this article because I assume that some of you, like myself, are equally challenged in gaining, casting and executing worship vision in tangible ways. Worship Team Vision, Qualifications, and Expectations
A few days ago the Board of Calvary Memorial Church met to consider the possibility of changing our present worship format by adding a contemporary worship service on Sunday morning. The following paper is a slightly-revised version of the vision statement I gave to the Board in advance of that meeting. As your pastor, I think you need to know clearly what I think on this question. Let me state my conclusion briefly and then give you my reasons: I believe we should add a contemporary worship service on Sunday morning as soon as possible. JOIN Realm. Members of LifePoint are called upon to invest in the mission of the church through the stewardship of time, talent, and treasure. Since its beginning, LifePoint has existed to lead people to grow as worshipers of the living God. Ours is a congregation that seeks to live in faithful relationship with God through Jesus Christ in all of life. And the worship ministry of LifePoint plays a crucial role in that objective by leading people to glorify God, magnify the Gospel, and edify the Church in Life Together. Therefore, we strive to exalt the nature, character, and attributes of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In other words, our goal each week is to glorify God by demonstrating the truth about him revealed in his Word, because who he is as God makes him worthy of praise. We also seek to magnify the Gospel. Our faith rests on the Good News that God, by his grace, saves sinners and inaugurates his Kingdom on earth through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
